The Rothesay Regional Police Force shall work in partnership
with the community to improve the quality of life by ensuring the order, security,
peace and safety of the citizens.

The members of the Rothesay Regional Police shall:
Uphold the principles and guarantees of the Canadian Charter of Rights
and Freedoms
Use discretion while exercising police powers
Never discriminate on any basis
Use force as a last resort when all else has failed and only as much as
is necessary
Adhere to the highest professional standards and impartially enforce laws
without undue political or other influence
Show particular concern to victims, the elderly and those that cannot
fend for themselves
Ensure all crime is investigated to its fullest
Be accessible to the community at all times
Work in partnership with other community agencies to provide a better
service
Work towards improving the quality of life by any means possible
Work to reduce unnecessary fear of crime
Identify local crime and disorder problems and work to find the root causes
Provide highly visible patrol function with a rapid response to life threatening
situations
Provide services designed to achieve peace, order, security and safety
Work with the Community in establishing the priorities for policing and
co-operation in resolving any problems
