During the warmer months, the bike patrol is an integral part of the regular vehicle patrol function. It enables the officers to monitor parks, trails, and other areas that are not easily accessible by the patrol vehicle. The bike patrol has proven to be an effective tool for community policing in such that, the officer is more approachable and often attends various functions in the community. |
